Phone Verifier evaluates supported phone-number structure and numbering-plan information. Supported numbers can be normalized to E.164 format, and the result can include country, line-type and carrier metadata where that information is available.
How to use Phone Verifier
- Open Phone Verifier.
- Sign in to your LastDatabase account when the verification workflow requires authenticated access.
- Enter the phone number you want to evaluate.
- Supply the appropriate country context when required for a number that does not contain sufficient international dialing information.
- Choose the verification action.
- Review the returned validation, normalization and metadata information.
Normalization
Normalization converts supported phone numbers into a consistent representation when sufficient numbering information is available. E.164 is the standard international representation used by the supported verification workflow.
Country information
Country-aware processing helps interpret national phone formats. A complete international number can provide stronger numbering context than an ambiguous local number.
Line type and carrier metadata
Where supported metadata is available, Phone Verifier can return information associated with the number's line type and carrier. Availability can vary by number, country and underlying numbering metadata.
Single and bulk verification
The LastDatabase phone-verification workspace supports single-number verification and a bulk-verification workflow. Use single verification when evaluating an individual number. Use the supported bulk workflow when processing multiple numbers through the customer verification workspace.
What Phone Verifier does not prove
Verification also does not replace consent, suppression, do-not-call or other regulatory checks that may apply to your specific use case.

Use Phone Lookup when you know a person's name and want to discover matching LastDatabase phone records.
Use Phone Verifier when you already have a phone number and want to evaluate its supported technical properties.
